Music Stands = Rock and Roll?

Phil and Music Stand

I hesitate to post this prior to the Red Rocks show, but last night at the Philmore (yea, I know) show, Phil Lesh had the assistance of a music stand. All I could think of the entire night were flashbacks to 3rd Grade recorder concerts. To me, this is probably the least rock and roll thing any musician can do. What is this, amateur hour? You don’t even see music stands at the Apollo. Come on Phil, “set out runnin’ but I take my time, a friend of the devil is a friend of mine…” that’s not that hard is it? Regardless, it was a good show (especially second set), and I’m looking forward to tonight’s Red Rocks show (hopefully sans stand).

First Order of Business

The first order of business for M2 will be to M2 about the M2 website (thanks to Brunks for the idea). For those of you aren’t down with the lingo yet, let me break it down: I could use some input on what you would like to see on the site and also on what else the site should have (such as links, etc.). A little bit of Mental Masturbation (M2) should get the job done just nicely. Hope to see the comments rolling in…
